I’ve been bombarded lately with people asking me “What’s your Wedding Style?”. Ummm… what? Then I figured out what they meant. Here are a few examples: Luxurious, Eco-friendly, tropical, traditional, retro, “do-it-yourself”, and many more. So I started thinking being “green” is important in almost every aspect of our lives so why should it exclude weddings?
So what’s your wedding style?
Many couples are choosing organic fabrics, flowers, food and recycled paper invitations or even paper-less invites (i.e. via email), etc. It is even reflected in their wedding registries. For example, bamboo is popping up everywhere throughout the house; from the kitchen (bamboo cutting boards), to the living room, to the bedroom with furniture and bamboo sheets which are eco-friendly certified and offer great characteristics such a being anti-bacterial, long lasting, and great for anyone afflicted with allergies.

With global warming at our doorstep, making sustainable choices helps the world tremendously. Decisions that lessen the amount of carbon emissions promote sustainable practices, support local businesses, foster community and worldwide health and longevity.
